Non-Trucking Liability - (NTL)
Non-Trucking Liability provides coverage to protect permanently leased owner operators, commonly referred to as Independent Contractors, against liability claims that occur when operating the vehicle for personal or non-business use. Coverage is provided when the commercial vehicle is not furthering the business of the motor carrier. The return trip is considered within the dispatch loop.
Unladen Liability - (UL)
Unladen Liability provides coverage for RV haulers and flatbed risks while bobtailing or operating a pick-up truck or tractor that is not hauling cargo, or “unladen,” regardless of dispatch status. This is third party coverage. Coverage may respond when an owner operator’s owned trailer is attached but empty. This coverage is broader than Non-Trucking Liability as it picks up the gray area of dispatch, i.e., the return trip.
Physical Damage – Collision, Specified Perils
Physical Damage provides coverage for repair or replacement to an insured’s vehicle resulting from a covered loss. The valuation is based on the ACV of the vehicle at the time of the loss due to collision, fire, theft and/or CAC.
General Liability
Coverage for the insured’s liability from bodily injury or property damage to others arising from the insured’s premises operations, products and completed operations. We offer Truckers GL 99793, Brokers GL 61224, and Appliances & Accessories GL 91155.
Motor Truck Cargo
Coverage for loss or damages to goods in transit, in the care and custody of our insured. Optional deductibles and endorsements are available.
Contingent Cargo
This coverage is for freight brokers/forwarders who negotiate contracts for the transportation of goods and may protect them if a claim is made by the shipper for damage to the cargo they arranged transportation for.
Short-Term Non-Trucking Liability & Physical Damage
Coverage is written on a specified vehicle for a period of 72-hours or 30 days for the purpose of moving a newly acquired unit from one place to another. One additional 72-hour policy may be purchased. The 30-Day policy will satisfy a Lienholders requirement when purchasing the unit from a dealership.
Occupational Accident
Protects an owner operator from losses resulting from job related injuries or death. Coverage for owner operators, contract drivers and employee drivers who are not required by law in their state to carry Workers Compensation and are between the ages of 21 and 70 years old. This coverage is similar to Workers Compensation and provides coverage for accidental death, dismemberment, temporary total disability, continuous total disability, pre-existing conditions, accidental medical/dental expense and limited non-occupational accident benefits. Non-Occupational Accident Benefits are also included in every plan.
Contingent Auto Liability
Coverage for freight brokers who do not own a vehicle but broker loads to truckers. This is essentially non-owned auto liability coverage.
Primary Auto Liability
Provides protection for damages done to third-party, both property as well as bodily injury, in the event of an accident caused by a truck. These policies require the vehicles and drivers be scheduled at the time of loss.

Tips for Cheaper Premium's.
Roll with cameras.
“Breaker one-nine, hang a dash cam on that windshield.”
Dash cams clear you when four-wheelers get goofy and keep bogus claims off your record. Less blame = lower premiums. Safety tech like lane assist and collision warning sweetens the deal.Keep violations off your tail.
Run your pre-trips like your paycheck depends on it — ’cause it does. Fix the busted lights, worn tires, and loose lines before DOT spots ’em. A clean CSA score keeps insurance costs down.Maintain that iron.
“If your rig ain’t road-ready, neither are your rates.”
Bad brakes, leaks, and loose parts turn into breakdowns and claims. Regular maintenance + clean records = cheaper coverage.Train up and stay sharp.
Defensive driving courses, recovery refreshers, hazmat updates — insurance companies love ’em. The more trained you are, the more they’ll shave off your policy.Ease off the idle.
Idling ain’t just fuel burn — it wears your engine. Engine wear leads to breakdowns, and breakdowns lead to claims. Cut the idle, cut the cost.Don’t claim the small stuff.
“Save your insurance for the big hits, driver.”
Little dings and scratches? Pay those out-of-pocket. A couple small claims cost more in premium hikes than the repair ever will.Keep your paperwork tight.
Clean logs, accurate mileage, updated equipment lists — insurers want to know you run a tight ship. Tight records = lower risk = lower rates.
“Breaker one-nine, driver — you didn’t haul yourself this far just to hit the brakes now. Even if you ain’t ready to renew that policy yet, key up and give me a holler. I’ll help you get geared up with the right safety features and set you up on my short-but-sweet weekly newsletter. It’s packed with safety and health tips to keep you sharp, steady, and engaged out on the big road, come on.”
